About us

Madkour Law Firm (“MLF”) was founded in 1993 by Roy Madkour in Beirut, Lebanon. Its main office is in Achrafieh, Lebanon.

Since its inception, the firm has experienced consistent growth, leading to the establishment of two additional branches in Sin El Fil (Corporate Department) and Dbayeh (Arbitration Department).

MLF has also formed partnerships across the years, to ensure comprehensive jurisdictional coverage.

Founder & Managing Partner

Roy Madkour

Roy Madkour founded MLF in 1993. He is a member of the Beirut Bar Association. He specializes mainly in Litigation and Criminal Law. He acts as President of the International Prison watch – Lebanese section (IPW/OIP) and of the Lebanese Penal Law Association (LPLA).

From Generation to Generation

Chucri Bertou El-Khoury

Chucri El Khoury devoted more than six decades of his life to the practice of law, establishing himself as one of Lebanon's pioneering legal specialists.

Throughout his extensive career, he provided counsel to numerous clients, including the French government during their mandate over Lebanon.

His enduring legacy is evident in several laws promulgated by the French, bearing his influence to this day.

He passed away in 1985.

President Michel Madkour

Holder of Bachelor Degree in French and Lebanese Laws from Saint Joseph University of Beirut and a PHD in Criminal Law, Michel Madkour became a judge early in the sixties. Over a span of 40 years, he held various positions in different courts, including:

  • Unique Civil and Criminal Judge in Jezzine

  • Unique Civil and Criminal Judge in Saida

  • President of the Civil Chamber in Saida

  • President of the Criminal Court in Zahle

  • President of the Criminal Court in Mount Lebanon

  • Judge at the Legislation and Consulting Committee at the Ministry of Justice

  • President of the Supreme Criminal Court

  • Honorary President of the Penal Law Association

He was appointed Honorary Judge by a presidential Decree number 6840

MLF follows a four-stage methodology to maintain high-quality service.

  2. Solution proposal encompassing scope of work, fees, timeframe, and terms.

  3. Client approval before implementation of the agreed strategy.
